Access Service

Our mission is to support the participation of non-typical students at IADT, and to promote a teaching and learning environment suitable for diverse learners.

The Access service is available to support you whilst the college is closed. Contact the Access Officer at

Students who have lost employment can apply for the COVID-19 unemployment payment here.

The Access Service is located in the Student Services suite in the Carriglea Building, Room C006D. The work of the Access Service can be split into three areas:

  1. Pre-Entry Activities. We run a range of outreach programmes to local schools and promote access to IADT for under-represented groups.
  2. Post-Entry Supports: We provide supports for students from under-represented groups who are currently attending IADT.
  3. Univeral Design for Staff: We provide a repository of information on Universal Design principles for faculty members and can facilitate sessions with staff to explore these concepts in relation to their own teaching.

Please consult the tabs on the right-hand side of this webpage for further details on our Pre-Entry and Post-Entry work.
