The Careers Advisory Service is here to accompany you through the often-bewildering journey of planning and researching your career options. The services and resources on offer are designed for the real DIY type. Nobody is going to try to sell you anything you don’t want or need. Its up to you to take the initiative. If you think that any of the services described here may be of benefit to you, whether you are in first year or in final year, please avail of them. Here are some of the ways in which the Careers Advisory Service can help you:
* One-to-one appointments: appointments can usually be
arranged within two to three days of your contacting the
service. You can do this by
o Calling to the Careers Office. If the office is unattended or the Careers
Officer is engaged you can simply fill out an Appointment Request Form and
leave it under the door. The Careers Officer will contact you about your appointment
asap.
o Telephoning the Careers Officer at (01)2144670 or e-mailing : paul.j.murphy@iadt.ie
* Provide you with Careers Information materials : again, by calling into the
Careers Office or you can browse the Careers Shelves in the Library (See Factsheet
2 on Careers Information)
* The Careers Education Programme: browse the range of customised careers workshops
available on Sideshowbob (Lecturers Folder, Paul@careers subfolder). The careers
officer is happy to arrange workshops for class groups on request by students
and/or lecturers
* Notify you of job opportunities:

www.iadtsu.ie
