About Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Entrepreneurship*
What is Business - Entrepreneurship?
If you’re already a business graduate, and you now want to expand your knowledge and skills in the entrepreneurship world, this one-year general business programme is ideal.
It focuses on innovation and the strategies that turn innovation into wealth creation. In particular, we look at how knowledge can be used dynamically across different business disciplines, something of great importance to entrepreneurs.
We believe in an active learning environment, where students actively participate and learn from their experiences. The Entrepreneurship module engages students in the real world of the entrepreneur, through networking, mentoring and researching entrepreneurial case studies. As such, your work is assessed continuously and contributes significantly to your overall result. Assessments can be individual or team projects.
Upon completion of the programme you will:- have an in-depth understanding of the theories and methods for managing enterprises
- have an extensive and up-to-date knowledge of entrepreneurship
- be an effective problem-solver, creative thinker and decision-maker in complex business scenarios
Aims and Objectives
What will I be able to do when I graduate?
- You may find supervisory or junior management roles in finance, marketing and general management.
- If you intend to run your own business, this programme will equip you with the most important skills.
- You will also be eligible to further your studies at Masters level.
What subjects will I study?
Entrepreneurship, Strategic Marketing Management, Taxation for Entrepreneurs, Strategic Information Systems, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management.
You may continue your studies to Masters Degree level in Ireland or abroad.
What are the Entry Requirements?
60 credits and an overall GPA of 2.00 (40%) or higher in an ordinary degree in Business, e.g. DL231, or equivalent.
What is the closing date?
Applications must be made directly to IADT by 4pm on Tuesday, 31st March 2009.
Should places be available after that date, a second round of applications will be accepted until Friday, 21st August 2009.
