The Education Awards have been designed to recognise, encourage and celebrate excellence among third level education providers across the island of Ireland, representing both State and privately funded institutions.
IADT is delighted to be the only Institute of Technology to have made the shortlist in this category. The nomination recognises the significant achievements by the staff from the Directorate of Creativity, Innovation + Research, Registry, the Faculty of Enterprise + Humanities, the Faculty of Film, Art + Creative Technology who collaborate to drive International engagement. IADT also receives strong support from the HEA and Enterprise Ireland as well as the Department of Foreign Affairs Diaspora initiative to support our international partnerships and student recruitment.
The Institute has collaborated with programme and research partners throughout Europe, Eastern Europe, Canada, the UK and the USA. We have seen an increase in international students attending IADT over the last two years in all five departments. During this time, IADT has also developed new postgraduate programmes for example, the Masters in Interdisciplinary Design Strategies with the Institute without Boundaries, George Brown College and “Viewfinder”, a joint Masters in Cinematography run in in partnership with the University of Theatre and Film Arts, Budapest and the Baltic Film, Media, Arts and Communication School of Tallinn University, Estonia, (BFM).
We are looking forward to the Education Awards which take place on 21st February 2019 in Dublin.
