Research Interests/Activities:
My research and professional practice centre around the role of the scenographer in both contemporary and historical contexts.
My educational research has focussed on how the transdisciplinary challenges of performance design can be articulated within both undergraduate and post graduate curricula and what opportunites may exist for the transferal of these strategies to other subject domains.
Professional Practice Interests:
I have over twenty years of expereince as a theatre designer, staging work in many of the UKs leading venues and working with a number of leading touring and regional companies including; York Theatre Royal, Hull Truck Theatre, Nottingham Playhouse, Liverpool Everyman, Sheffield Crucible, Compass Theatre Company, Pilot Theatre Company.
My profressional practice as an educator combined with commercial theatre design practice has enabled me to work in a wide variety of education institutions in the UK HE sector . These include
