ICT Office
ICT Office
Whatever programme you’re studying at IADT, you are required to access and use computers on a daily basis. It’s part of our professional approach to education and introduces you to the countless technologies available. The ICT Office is a specialist team of professionals who offer an extensive range of computing and audiovisual (AV) services throughout the college. The team assists anyone who needs help using the facilities on campus, whether it’s from the simplest use of word-processing to state-of-the-art usage.
The main hardware platforms used in the Institute include MS Windows based computers, Apple Macintosh and UNIX workstations. The key services by the Office are:
- ICT Service Desk: this is a helpdesk that can be contacted by email (support@iadt.ie) when you have a query or problem.
- Reprographics: the ICT Office provides a centralised print and photocopy facility for all students, with printers and photocopiers located in strategic locations throughout the Institute.
- Student Email: a dedicated IADT email address is provided for every student. Your tutors and all other IADT services will contact you on this email, as and when necessary.
- Wireless Network: this is designed for students who have their own wireless enabled laptops. It’s similar to wireless “hotspots” available in hotels, cafes etc.
