Photography

Many photographers who have been using digital cameras are turning (and returning) to traditional, silver-based film and papers. This course provides the opportunity to practice a range of camera skills and techniques, including how to visualise, compose and correctly expose photos, and then develop and print them, in black and white in the Darkroom.
Classes will incorporate power-point lectures engaging with technical photography along with those that explore important historical and contemporary imagery.
Practical studio and darkroom demonstrations, along with critiques of student work, will help develop the skills in order to form a deeper
understanding of photography.
This is mainly a practical course with theory incorporated into practical exercises. Students will need a film SLR camera a list of materials will be issued on enrolment.
Courses will run on the following dates:
- 09th July 2012 (1 week) - Ref: SS27
