Here are the teaching and learning projects in IADT in 2011-2012.
SIF2 IOTI/DIT Flexible learning project
This incorporates the Learning Information Network (LIN) SIF1 project through which IADT is running the AIT Certificate in Learning and Teaching. The project focuses on the development of flexible learning for students through accredited learning e.g. Special Purpose Awards and staff development for flexible learning. In 2011-2012 IADT is running the AIT LIN Certificate in Learning and Teaching. There is a Flexible Learning Resources for Staff running in 2011-2012.
SIF2 DRHEA project - Enhancement of Learning strand.
The DRHEA is the Dublin Regional Higher Education Alliance, for futher information see www.drhea.ie. In IADT this project supports the development and integration of Blackboard into IADT systems and the exploration of technology and learning. It supports the development of a Library wiki for teaching http://teach-iadt.wikispaces.com/ and access to relevant journals for teaching and learning research.
PAL Peer assisted learning project for 1st Years
The IADT PAL project is running with the DL141 BSc (Hons) in Applied Psychology 1st Years in 2011-2012 with Cliona Flood (Department of Learning Sciences) as the PAL coordinator sponsored by the Teaching and Learning Committee.
NDLR Resources for Staff projects 2010-2011 and 2009-2010.
These successful projects developed digital learning and teaching materials that are now available on the NDLR.
Teaching Showcase 7 June 2012.
The annual Teaching Showcase will be held on 7 June 2012. This will follow on from the succesful 2010 and 2009 showcases where staff presented posters of innovative work in teaching and learning to colleagues. The digital learning resources developed through the NDLR Resources for Staff project were also displayed.
