Information regarding PANDEMIC (H1N1) 2009
IADT remains open as normal for students, staff and visitors. Lectures, assessments and all other services are taking place as scheduled. Please see the relevant locations on our website for opening times and information. Please also refer to notices as posted on notice boards for up to date information. Do not panic, most people with the virus are recovering within a week and need no anti-viral medication.
If you suspect that you have influenza do not come to IADT or attend your GP; call the HSE free phone Flu Information Line (1800 94 11 00) or ring your GP for further advice.
Preventing the spread of germs is the single most effective way to slow the spread of influenza or flu. You should always:
- Use tissues to cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze
- Place used tissues in a bin as soon as possible
- Ensure everyone washes their hands regularly with soap and water
- Clean surfaces regularly to get rid of germs
- If you think you have influenza, please avoid close contact with others, stay at home and seek medical advice by phoning your GP.
