BA(Hons) in Visual Arts Practice - ACCS Mode - Direct Entry 2010

The BA(Hons) in Visual Arts Practice (Level 8) is designed to provide you with the opportunity to develop a practice which is relevant to the many opportunities which exist for artists and to understand the challenges of working in the visually and critically sophisticated landscape of contemporary art.
As well as the normal fulltime programme, our BA(Hons) in Visual Arts Practice is also offered in a flexible (ACCS) mode where you can apply directly for any year of the programme i.e. first, second, third or fourth.
This means that although the modules studied are identical to the normal fulltime programme you attend for three evenings a week and there will be some full time day blocks of study required during the year also. This innovative approach to learning allows you to complete the programme in four years just like the day students and to pursue the same exciting and challenging creative pathways which include:
- Drawing
- Painting
- Video
- Sculpture
- Printmaking
- Photography
- Installation
- Performance
The approach offered through this flexible learning model is a very effective model for mature applicants, those with significant employment or other commitments and students who are seeking the part-time study option. You will enjoy access to the same learning environment as our day students and in joining the School of Creative Arts, be part of an exciting and diverse community of students.
Graduates from the BA(Hons) in Visual Arts Practice ACCS Mode programme are successful in a wide range of creative and visual arts practices. A number regularly proceed after their degree to our MA in Visual Arts Practice (Level 9).
