Barry Ackroyd is one of Britain's leading directors of photography. Perhaps best known for his collaboration with Ken Loach, for whom he has shot twelve films, including The Wind That Shakes the Barley (European Film Award); and Looking for Eric. Other work includes: Green Zone and United 93 (BAFTA nomination), both directed by Paul Greengrass. Recently he has been highly praised for his work on The Hurt Locker, for which he has been nominated for an ASC Award.
