IADT responds to current labour market climate through the offering of accelerated accredited programmes

18-02-2009

IADT has announced that it is offering three accelerated business courses from the School of Business and Humanities commencing March 2009. These initial programmes will be followed by other programmes which relate to the other two schools.

So what is an accelerated programme ?

These accelerated programmes are the first year of a accredited course be it an Honours Degree (Level 8) or Ordinary Degree (Level 7) which are being delivered in an accelerated fashion without any reduction in the learning outcomes associated with the programme. These programmes will be delivered outside the traditional academic year (September – June) and will be delivered from March through to August. Students on the accelerated programmes will then join year two of the programme in September if successful in passing all their first year assessments and examinations.

Who is eligible to register for an accelerated programme?

These programmes are open to persons in receipt of qualifying payments for 12 months from the Department of Social & Family Affairs OR those persons who have received Statutory Redundancy since September 2007 who have established an entitlement to a Social Welfare payment.
