FIS received the ‘Best Educational Website’ award at the 2008 Irish Web Awards

Congratulations to Ciarán McCormack and the FIS team. Ciarán received the ‘Best Educational Website’ award at the 2008 Irish Web Awards on Saturday 11th October, for the innovative and imaginative FIS Book Club. www.fisbookclub.com
The ‘Book Club’ is designed to encourage children to read and review books and to share their impressions by posting a video review on the FIS Book Club website. The Book Club is a safe and secure web environment, moderated by teachers. Schools become registered members and access is password protected. The FIS Book club is operating in Ireland and in the UK and has been also been profiled by Apple – see: http://www.apple.com/ie/education/profiles/fis/
