IADT Sponsors IIA Net Visionary Awards
With IADT's own expertise in web and interface design, IADT were delighted to sponsor the ‘Most "joyous to look at and splendid to use" Web Design’ category at the Irish Internet Association’s recent Net Visionary Awards 2012.
Dublin-based Dara Creative picked up the aptly named award for their design of sites for two clients: Sam’s Potatoes and the Health Insurance Authority (HIA).
Dr Annie Doona, President of IADT, presented Robin Caffola and Ed Galligan of Dara Creative with their trophy at an awards ceremony at the National Gallery of Ireland.

Now in their 18th year, Dara Creative have delivered award winning re-branding programmes and websites for hundreds of clients in Ireland and overseas. The site which they developed for Sam’s Potatoes is packed with random recipe machines and quirky games to tickle the taste buds of every spud-loving soul. As the statutory regulator of the private health insurance market in Ireland, the Health Insurance Authority required a site that would provide consumers with clear information regarding their rights. Dara Creative’s design achieves this goal and includes a handy comparison tool which helps consumers compare insurance plans.
IADT runs multiple courses in related areas including a BSc (Hons) in Computing in Multimedia Systems / Web Engineering and a BA (Hons) in Visual Communication Design. IADT staff also work regularly with companies to enhance the design and usability of their online presence through the Innovation Vouchers Scheme.
