The National Film School, in association with the Irish Film Board, continues its 2008/09 series of NFS Lectures with writer/director, Mike Leigh on Monday 17 November 2008 in Room A019 at 10.30am.
A recipient of the Palme D'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, four BAFTAs (including the Michael Balcon Award), and five Oscar nominations, his films include: BLEAK MOMENTS, HIGH HOPES, LIFE IS SWEET, NAKED, SECRETS & LIES, TOPSY-TURVY, AND VERA DRAKE. His latest film, HAPPY-GO-LUCKY has just been nominated for a European Film Academy Award.
This event will be exclusive to students and staff of IADT and industry professionals.
