Careers
Whether you have a clear vision of where you want to go after your course in IADT or just a vague idea the Careers Advisory Service is available to you to help with career planning and job seeking. Among the services provided are:
- confidential career counselling, including individual assessment and vocational testing
- up-to-date information on career opportunities, progression to further studies, job vacancies and employer recruitment.
- web-based and hardcopy careers information resources
- a programme of careers education seminars
- graduate destination survey
Current careers information is made available through the ‘Jobs Noticeboard’ and ‘Careers Service’ links on the Student Union website: www.iadtsu.ie
Careers information is also posted on the dedicated Careers Notice Board on the First Floor of the Atrium Building.
The Careers Service also provides information materials to students on the Information stands located at the Animation stairwell outside the Careers Office and on the careers shelves in the Library.
The Careers Advisory Service has prepared a careers handbook, “The Future is Bright”, customised for IADT. It’s a summary of some of the key issues that students approach the Careers Service about most regularly. It also includes details of careers information resources for the range of IADT programmes.
The purpose of this is to make students more aware of the Careers Service as a resource for them and also to encourage them to do some forward planning about their careers whichever stage of their course they are at. Click on the link below to view the handbook.
