Accommodation

IADT currently does not have any on campus accomodation.

However, we provide information to students on where to find accommodation and maintain a database of local landlords who have properties, room and digs to let.

Most students prefer to rent an apartment or a house which can found in our database of accomodation. While some prefer the relative quiet and homely comforts of lodging with a family, commonly referred to as digs. IADT holds both a list of accommodation for rent and of families who offer bed, breakfast and evening meal on either a five or seven day week. .

To review the list please visit the Student link across or click here

Below is a guide to average costs (based on year 2010-11 prices) for different accommodation options:

B&B  €85 single for five days; €100 single for seven days
Full Board €100 for five days;  €115 for seven days
Self Catering €90 (single) per week
Flats Prices vary greatly and students should be prepared to pay between €85 - €120 per week plus extras (heat, electricity, phone, etc).
House Sharing This is a popular choice among students, but they should be prepared to pay between €350 - €500 per month each plus extras (heat, electricity, phone, etc).

Renting Accommodation

Off campus accommodation is available throughout Dublin both in the city and suburbs, IADT being based in the Dun Laoghaire/Deansgrange suburb. IADT helps students to find accommodation in a number of ways:

The Student and Academic Affairs office is opened in the Atrium Building on IADT main campus open from 9.30am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday and can be contacted on +353 1 239 4662 or +353 1 239 4000 or can be emailed @ accommodation@iadt.ie

A comprehensive listing of houses, flats, apartments and general self-catering accommodation is available for viewing at the office or can be found on student accommodation link across or by clicking here

The Evening Herald Newspaper can be purchased at all news agents which gives a comprehensive list of available accommodation which is published at 13.00 each day.

It is recommended that one purchases the newspaper early and begin making phone calls and setting up appointments to view rooms as early as possible in the day.

Areas close to IADT are:

  • Deansgrange
  • Monkstown
  • Blackrock
  • Dun Laoghaire
  • Foxrock
