In level three students consolidate the critical and technical skills developed in levels one and two and are given the opportunity to become more conversant with the processes that are necessary to implement concepts successfully.

Project work is explored from concept to realisation – the production of a conclusion. The aim of this is to give the student the necessary confidence that comes through the knowledge of managing the design process through to produce a desired result.

The level three programme focuses on critical thinking; exploring relationships between process and context; professional practice; partnership and collaboration and independent self-directed study. In some instances briefs are designed in conjunction with professional practice as ‘live’ projects. Level three also presents the opportunity to engage in a collaborative project with students from other courses in IADT.

Studio subjects at level three include: typographics, e-graphics, spatial design, professional practice and interdisciplinary design. Click on a subject to see samples of students work in each area.
