In level one, students are introduced to the broad range of subjects and processes through workshops, lectures, projects, and assignments. Level one subjects are presented as individual areas of study and are designed to familiarise students with a range of studio and workshop methods, skills and techniques relevant to visual communications design. Subjects include: design basics, drawing and image-making, photography, screenprint, typographics, e-graphics, 3D/spatial design, interdisciplinary design, and design history & visual culture.
