The programme is structured around three core subjects, which include the application of design concepts to:

Typographics (print media)
E-Graphics (screen media)
Spatial (3D amd virtual environments)

These core subjects are complemented by a range of support
subjects including:
-Drawing and Image Making;
-Photography (analogue and digital);
-Screenprint and;
- Professional Practice.

In each level of the programme, knowledge and skills learnt across all subjects are applied in Interdisciplinary Design. This integrated subject may encompass a combination, or all, of the core subjects and enables students to combine and apply their learning in a range of multi-disciplinary projects.

The Visual Communication Design programme is 80% practical and 20% theoretical. Academic subjects include:
-Design History and Theory;
-Visual Culture.
As you progress through the course, you are encouraged to apply your understanding of theory developed in Academic studies to your studio practice.
