2008 presents the second class to graduate
from The work on show portrays a richly diverse range of subject matter, visual approach, media and outcomes. In many cases, students have chosen project areas of particular personal interest but have ultimately created meaningful communication for a much wider audience. All content has been carefully researched, written and scripted by the students bringing a high level of original authorship to the exhibition. The range of media used reflects the contemporary environment of visual culture and commmunication. Books, websites, broadcast graphics, online forums, posters, booklets, DVDs and magazines are just some examples of the multi-diciplinarity that graphic design now claims and with which these graduates are fully conversant. This years work explores a wide range of interesting subjects from airlines of the future to the disappearing culture of inner city Dublin and showcases interactive and web design, packaging, corporate identity, editorial design and motion graphics. |
