typography booklet
This booklet was based on a typography essay i wrote, concentrating on cave painting origins of typography, Jan Tsichold and Paul Rand. The front title and information is printed on a tracing paper cover which lays over a detailed closeup photograph of a rock surface. Tribal style pictographs along with bauhaus style typography are superimposed over the rock background. Throughout the essay, selected quotaions are printed on the following page including imagery and are read through cut outs on the previous text page. Including the front cover, the long but short format of the booklet is divided into a three column grid. It is bound together with stitching.
