restoring the past. film titles

This documentary film directed by Patrick Butler, a film student at iadt, explores the Natural History Museum and its long awaited restoration. Because of its connection to colonial britain, the museum was largely ignored by irish government funding. Its display method's are so out of date it has been ddescribed as 'a museum within a museum'. In my film titles i concentrate on the relabelling, which will be an immense job, dealing with the 1000s of species in the museum. The music i composed and recorded with a friend reflects the exotic ambience in the museum, its continous rythm is parallel to the inevitability of restoration and change. While scanning in the museum gloves i used when filming, i came across animal resemblances by mistake, i worked with this idea for all the packaging- dvd and dvd box, the poster and also the mailer, designed to fold into a classic envelope shape.
