MARTIN DVD, MAILER AND POSTER
I designed the dvd cover, mailer and poster for a film called MARTIN starring Gary Lydon
(The Clinic) which depicts the life of a man who has very little going for him.
An abusive alcoholic, whose family have left him a long time, loses his job
and eventually the will to live.
I chose to concentrate visually on hard images and rough scenes, to elude an
atmosphere of despair / broken life. I wanted my imagery to portray a sense of
neglect, that something bad is going to happen.
The typeface I used was Rockwell bold which works in harmony with the imagery
as it is bold masculine and strong. I disected the title and placed it incorrectly on top
to give a sense of broken life / marriage / career etc.
